It’s only been a short time, but I am already loving this VerioSync monitor and Reveal app. There is no getting away from the fact that I’m not doing what I need to. Why? Because the app has the key data right there, in color, on the screen of my phone. For me, it’s perfect because I can’t ignore it. I also know that, since I’m the only one who can take care of this, I had better put taking care of myself at a much higher point on my To Do list. I’m going to add a screenshot so you can see what I mean. My goal is to check again in a week and see a much “better” screen!
Between this friendly system, Map My Walk, and my peak flow monitoring software, I have nowhere to hide!
Why trade in my other meter for a new one?
Because I’m determined to do a better job at monitoring. I discovered the OneTouch VerioSync when I was searching for Type2 stuff. You can order it online from OneTouch. Why bother? Because it works with an iPhone app–OneTouch Reveal–via Bluetooth, to track glucose levels. I know: How much trouble is it to input the glucose numbers myself? Not that much. I’m just not consistent. By the time I get take my medication, I don’t want to then start recording even more information. It makes me feel like an invalid. That’s not how I want to see myself.
Enter the VerioSync for glucose readings. Both of these record and store the info. The application show the trends. This may not make a difference for the way you manage your health, but I’m hoping it’s going to do the trick for me. Fingers crossed.
