Reading for the Scientific Mind

I’ve been enjoying dystopian literature of late. Dystopian literature deals with events in a flawed future. Everything is in place for the Utopia generations have hoped to achieve. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, something has gone terribly wrong.

The Dystopian Novels I’ll be writing about are:

The Time Machine, H.G. Wells, 1895
Brave New World, Aldous Huxley, 1932
Animal Farm, George Orwell, 1945
Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell, 1949
The Day of the Triffids, John Wyndham, 1951
Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury, 1953
Lord of the Flies, William Golding, 1954
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Philip K. Dick, 1968
The Handmaid’s Tale, Margaret Atwood, 1985
The Giver, Lois Lowry, 1993
The City of Ember, Jeanne DePrau, 2008
The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins, 2008.

If you have any others, please let me know!
