Finnish Baseball is a Ball Game

What can Finland teach the US about baseball. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Zero. The entire point of baseball is to take time out from the hectic activity of a typical day and just be at the baseball game. I know it seems unAmerican, but that’s precisely what makes baseball the American pastime. What’s next? A basketball game without running the ball up and down the court? How about football without a ground game? Hockey without two goals? Better yet – without a puck. Baseball may be broke, but it ain’t broke because of the plodding pace.

Still, Pesäpallo does look like a fun game played with balls and bats.
