Proboscis

You’ve no doubt heard that butterflies eat through their proboscis. You may even know that the proboscis is a hollow tube that butterflies use for sucking up liquids. If you envision it as a miniature version of an elephant’s trunk, you’re not far off. The two excellent videos that follow show you the proboscis in action.
