What Do I Eat Now?

Literally the first book I purchased when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, it does a fantastic job of getting you off to a good start. The content includes everything from an overview of nutrition, carbs and portion sizes to smart planning and snacks you can look forward to. The authors encourage you to make changes, one step at a time. There are sidebars with “Food for Thought,” “Swift, Simple Tips” and “What Do I Eat For…,” as well as several recipes. I didn’t want to waste a minute in doing something proactive. This book gave me enough background and advice to get me off to a strong start.
